Midway House Terms and Conditions

  1. Payments: We accept cash and all major Debit and Credit Cards, excluding American Express. No charge is made for Debit Cards issued in the U.K. 3% will be charged for all Credit Cards including Company Cards and all non U.K. Debit/Cash loaded Cards, to cover administration fees. We do not accept cheques.

  2. Deposit: At the time of booking we charge a £25 non returnable deposit per person against your Debit/Credit Card.

  3. Cancellations: If more than 4 days (96 hours) notice is given, there will be no charge over and above the original non returnable deposit already paid. If less notice is received, we will require payment in full for the total intended stay. Payment will be taken from the card used at the time of booking to secure the room/s. This payment or part thereof, will be refunded if the room/s are re-let. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing by email to info@midwayhouseyork.co.uk or by post to Midway House, 145 Fulford Road, York YO10 4HG. We do not accept cancellations by telephone. All cancellations by email or post MUST be acknowledged by Midway Guest House before cancellations are accepted.

    We strongly advise guests to take out Travel Insurance to cover against the cost of cancellations.

    No Shows: payment in full for the intended stay will be taken from the card used to secure the room/s.

    Early Leavers: will be asked for payment in full for the original intended stay, and charged to the card used to secure the room/s.

  4. Arrivals: To maintain our high standards of housekeeping, we receive guests between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm and again between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm or later by prior arrangement.

  5. Departures: Guests are required to vacate their rooms by 10.30 am. to allow us to prepare for the next visitor.

  6. No Smoking: We adopt a no smoking policy throughout our guest house. Should you choose to ignore this important health and safety policy, then you will be asked to leave and charged for your entire stay, together with an additional cleaning charge. It is against the law to smoke inside these premises.

  7. Damage: Any damage found in your room after you have left our home will be assessed and an appropriate amount charged to the card provided at the time of booking.

  8. Reservations: We do accept reservations for single nights; some weekends we have rooms available so please do enquire by telephone on 01904 659272 or check availability and book online.
